How can we help?
Answers for The Way: Explore and The Way: Old Testament, the first of The Way: Stories. If you don't find what you need, write to us. A real person reads every message.
Write to us
support@exploretheway.app · we usually reply within two working days.
It helps to tell us which app you're using, your device (for example iPhone 15 or iPad Air), and which version of iOS, iPadOS or macOS it runs. If something in a story, a date or a place looks wrong, tell us where you saw it.

The Way: Explore
How do I report a mistake in a story, date or place?
Use Report a problem on any person, event, place or story. It opens an email in your own mail app, already addressed to us and naming what you were looking at. You see everything before you send it, and nothing is sent unless you send it.
Why do some dates have two values?
For many early events, scholars and the traditional reading of the Bible's own chronology give different dates. Explore can show the scholarly dates, the traditional ones, or both side by side. Change it at the top of the timeline.
My notes and favourites aren't on my other device
Your notes, favourites, highlights and reading progress sync through your own iCloud account. Check that:
- both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account,
- iCloud is turned on for The Way: Explore in Settings → [your name] → iCloud,
- both devices are online. Changes usually arrive within a minute.
Do I need to buy it again on my Mac or iPad?
No. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac when they use the same Apple Account. On a new device, tap Restore purchases on the unlock screen.
The pictures look blurry
Explore ships with small copies of its pictures and downloads the full-size ones when you're online. Give it a moment on Wi-Fi and they'll sharpen. They're kept on your device afterwards.

What is the grown-up check?
Before anything a child shouldn't do alone, such as buying, opening a link, or changing settings, the app asks a question meant for an adult. It keeps children inside the stories. If a child taps a locked story, they see "Ask a grown-up", never a price.
How do I add another child?
Open Grown-ups, pass the grown-up check, and choose Children. Each child gets their own path, treasure shelf and journal, and their own telling: Young or Older.
Will my children's progress move to a new iPad?
Not yet. In this version, children's profiles and progress stay on the device where they were made, and deleting the app removes them. Purchases do move with your Apple Account.
Does it work without the internet?
Yes. Every story's pictures and narration come with the app, so it works on a plane or in the car.
The narration is too quiet, or doesn't play
Check that the device isn't on silent (the switch or Action button on iPhone), turn the volume up while a story is open, and check Grown-ups → Voices, clips and bedtime. If it still doesn't play, write to us with the story's name.
Some stories are hard. How do I talk about them?
The Bible's stories include fear, violence and loss, and the app tells them plainly but gently. In Grown-ups → Parent notes you'll find, for each hard story, what the telling leaves out and how to talk it through.
Purchases and refunds
Both apps work the same way
Each is free to download, with one purchase of $1.99 (or the matching price in your country) that unlocks everything in that app, for good. Family Sharing is on, so everyone in your Family Sharing group gets it too.
How do I restore a purchase?
- Explore: open anything locked and tap Restore purchases.
- Stories: open Grown-ups → Stories and purchases and tap Restore purchases.
Make sure you're signed in with the Apple Account you bought with.
How do I ask for a refund?
Purchases are made through Apple, so Apple handles refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase. We can't see or change your payment details.
My child bought something by mistake
Every purchase in The Way: Old Testament sits behind the grown-up check, and Ask to Buy in Family Sharing adds another step if you use it. If a purchase happened anyway, ask Apple for a refund as above.
